No it’s not the Oscars! And it isn’t even the Canadian Music Awards. But it’s a first of its kind in Ottawa. It’s a unique opportunity to learn about the ByWard Market’s best run bars, pubs and restaurants.

It’s the 1st Annual Ottawa Best Bar None Awards Ceremony. Best Bar None is an industry-led annual accreditation program for liquor sales licensed establishments. The event will reveal the 5 awards being given out for the first time in Ottawa’s ByWard Market to licensed establishments that have achieved top status in the Best Bar None Ontario accreditation process.

Come and find out who won Best Over All, Best Club, Best Restaurant, Best Bar/Lounge and Best Pub. Other establishments will also be granted their accreditation in these inaugural awards and accreditation ceremonies.

Businesses that obtain Best Bar None Ontario accreditation have achieved the highest operating standards. These businesses also manage the sale and service of alcohol responsibly, and work with their neighbours and hospitality industry partners to improve the community.

Best Bar None Ontario is led by the Ontario Restaurant Hotel & Motel Association (ORHMA) in conjunction with a diverse group of organizations from the hospitality industry, community organizations and government who have the common goal of improving and rewarding responsible liquor service and operational excellence.
