Which downtown Toronto bar, club or restaurant Stands out for safe and responsible service of alcohol?

Toronto - June 8, 2015

Find out which restaurant, club or bar in downtown Toronto’s core will be recognized as a leader when it comes to serving liquor responsibly, reducing the potential for alcohol-related issues, and operating with the safety of the patrons and the community in mind.

Winners in several categories (e.g. Best Bar/Lounge, Best Restaurant, Best Club, Best Pub, Best Hotel, Best Members Club, Best Venue) will be determined by Best Bar None, an industry-led accreditation and awards program for liquor sales licensed establishments, Mothers Against Drunk Driving (MADD Canada), and the Alcohol and Gaming Commission of Ontario (AGCO).

Date: Best Bar None Awards Ceremony on Tuesday, June 9, 2015

Time: 3:30 – 5:30 p.m.

Location: Hyatt Regency, King Street Social Bar, 370 King St. W. Toronto, M5V 1J9.

The competition is hosted by Best Bar None (BBN) Ontario, which encourages establishments to implement the highest standards when managing the responsible sale and service of alcohol, and establish good relationships with community and hospitality partners. BBN Ontario is led by the Ontario Restaurant Hotel & Motel Association, which works in conjunction with a diverse group of organizations including AGCO, MADD Canada, LCBO, King Spadina Residents Association, Toronto Entertainment District Business Improvement Area, Toronto Police Service, City of Toronto’s Municipal Licensing and Standards Division.

When you see the “Best Bar None Ontario” decal at a bar, pub, restaurant or club, you can be assured that the establishment has met the highest standards for responsible service of alcohol and operates with the safety and well-being of its patrons and the community in mind.
